Sapporo Snow Festival, Sapporo (Japan)
The Sapporo Snow Festival has been held in Japan since 1950. This event takes place in the three main parks of the city of Sapporo (Japan): Odori, Susukino and TsuDome . Every year more than 2 million people come to contemplate the hundreds of sculptures made of snow and ice. For this new edition, the Sapporo Snow Festival takes place from 1 to 12 February 2017.

Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, Harbin (China)
The city of Harbin (China) is home to an incredible city of ice . It is the largest ice sculpture festival in the world. Created in 1963, this event brings together more than 2,000 artists . Some works are several tens of meters in height. This year, it will run until the end of February.
International Competition of Sculpture on Ice and Snow, Valloire (France)
The 34th International Competition of Sculpture on Ice and Snow was held in Valloire between 17 and Friday 20 January 2017. Several French and foreign sculptors present their works. They have 4 days to realize their creation.

International Ice Sculpture Festival in Poznań, Poznań (Poland)
The biggest ice sculpture festival in Europe takes place in Poznań (Poland), on the old market square . During 2 days, the artists, coming from all over the world compete. They present their works to several thousand people. The last edition took place in December 2016.
The Swedish snow sculpture championships took place between 25 and 28 January 2017, in the city center of Kiruna (Sweden). The best snow sculptors each have a snow block of 3 by 3 meters. Visitors can view the works and watch all the stages of the design.
The Ice Music Festival is an event not to be missed during a winter trip to Norway. Musical instruments are made from ice, a few hours before the concerts. It’s a unique experience! The shows take place in various places and are accessible only by skis. This year, it will be held from 19 to 12 February 2017.
International Ice Sculpture Festival, Jelgava (Latvia)
The 19th edition of the Jelgava International Ice Sculpture Festival (Latvia) will take place from 10 to 12 February. Some thirty artists will create sculptures from ice. And every year, an ice bar and an ice slide for children are also designed.

The International Budweiser Snow Sculpture Championships, Breckenridge, Colorado (USA)
The Budweiser World Snow Sculpture Championship (Colorado / USA) took place between January 28 and February 5, 2017. It was held in the Riverwalk Center. Visitors can admire many works, some of which are more than 10 meters high.
